Yes, in most cases you can connect your booking system to your accounting software so the same entry is not typed twice.
A travel back office already holds almost everything your accountant needs. It knows what the customer was charged, what the supplier charged you, what tax applies, what money has come in and what is still owed. Once the two systems are linked, sales invoices, credit notes, supplier bills and payment receipts can pass across on their own, either as they happen or in one batch each night. Your accountant then works in the package they already know, using entries that come straight from the bookings your team actually made.
How that link is made depends on the accounting package you use. Cloud packages usually allow a proper live connection, so entries move across by themselves. Older desktop packages often accept only a file import, which means someone exports from the booking system and imports into the accounts, still much faster than retyping. Either way, the ledger names, tax codes and account heads have to be matched up once at the start, and that setup is worth doing slowly with your accountant present, because everything afterwards follows it.
Be honest about what the link cannot do. It will not correct a booking that was entered wrongly in the first place, and if your supplier statements are untidy your accounts will show the same untidiness. Ask your provider which accounting packages they already connect to and whether it is a live connection or an export, and ask your accountant to check a week of entries before you stop keeping your own record.
