Can I have my sales reports emailed to me every week instead of logging in to pull them myself?

Yes, in most cases you can. A travel booking system will usually let you build a report once, say sales for the month or bookings by each agent, and then ask for that same report to be sent to your inbox automatically every day, every week or every month, so nobody on your team has to remember to log in and run it.

The usual way it works is that you open the report, set the date range and any filters you want, such as one branch or one supplier, and then save it as a scheduled report with a list of the people who should receive it. From then on it arrives on its own, normally as a spreadsheet or a PDF you can open and forward to your accountant or your manager without having to rebuild anything.

There are limits worth knowing. Not every report can always be scheduled, so what you are able to send out automatically depends on your plan and on the system you are using. Delivery also depends on your email setup, and a report going to an outside address can sometimes land in the junk folder until it is marked as safe. A very long report may come through as a link to download rather than as an attachment. The figures will also only be as good as what your team has actually entered, so a booking that never went into the system will not show up in any report, scheduled or not.

Before you start relying on it, ask which reports can be scheduled on your plan, send one to yourself as a test, and check that the totals match what you see on the screen.
