Yes, a trip plan is built to be edited rather than rebuilt. Once a plan is saved against a customer you can open it again, move a day around, swap one hotel for another, add a night, or take an activity out, and everything else in the plan stays as it was. Teams usually go back and forth a few times before a customer is happy, so changing a plan is treated as normal day to day work and not as starting over.
When you change something that carries a cost, the total on the plan is worked out again for you, so you are not adding things up on the side and hoping the two match. If you have already sent the customer a link to their plan, that link normally keeps working and shows them the updated version, so you do not have to send a fresh one every time they ask for a small change.
There is one limit worth being honest about. Editing the plan changes your proposal, it does not change anything already confirmed with a supplier. If a hotel night or a flight is booked, that booking has to be amended or cancelled with the supplier under their own rules, and whether that is free, chargeable, or simply not allowed is the supplier's decision. Live rates can also move between the day you built the plan and the day you edit it, so an item you rebook may not come back at what it was first quoted at.
Before you promise a change to a customer, check whether the part they want moved is still only a proposal or has already been confirmed, and if it is confirmed, read the cancellation and amendment rules held against that booking first.
