Yes, in most travel back office systems a change to a saved booking is recorded against the person who made it, so you can look at the file afterwards and see who edited it and when. This is usually shown as a history or activity log on the booking itself, sitting next to the passenger and payment details rather than in a separate place you have to hunt for.

The point of it is not to catch people out, it is to settle the ordinary arguments that come up in a busy office. When a customer says they were quoted one amount and your invoice shows another, the log tells you whether the price was edited, by whom and at what time, and often what the earlier value was. The same applies to a changed date, a cancelled service or a discount that was applied by hand.

Be honest about what it will not tell you. It records what was done inside the system, so a promise made on a call or over chat leaves no trace unless somebody writes it into the booking notes. How much detail is kept, and how far back you can look, depends on your plan and on how the system has been set up for you. It is also worth remembering that if several staff share one login you lose the whole benefit, because every change will point to the same name.

Before you rely on this, give every member of staff their own login, then open one recent booking and check that the history shows the level of detail you would actually need in a dispute.
