Yes, a part payment option can be offered on your own booking website, but whether you can use it on a particular product depends on the supplier sitting behind that booking. The booking engine can be set so that certain items, usually your own tour packages, hotels that allow payment later and your handcrafted itineraries, show a smaller amount due at checkout, with the balance recorded against the booking and a due date attached to it. Your staff then see the pending balance in the booking list, and the customer can be sent a payment link when the balance falls due.

The honest limit is on anything the supplier wants settled straight away. Air tickets are the clearest example, because most airlines and consolidators collect the full fare at the moment the ticket is issued, so a deposit from your customer does not change what you owe. The same is true of non refundable hotel rates and many activity suppliers. If you still choose to take a deposit on those, you are funding the difference from your own money until the customer pays, so that is a commercial decision for you rather than something the software can remove.

There is also a payment side to check. Taking a second payment later needs either a gateway that supports stored cards or, more commonly, a payment link sent by email or WhatsApp that the customer opens and pays themselves. Automatic reminders can be set so your staff are not chasing people by hand, and the booking can be flagged if the balance is still unpaid as the travel date gets closer.

The practical next step is to list which of your products you genuinely want to sell on a deposit, then confirm with each supplier when they need to be paid in full, so your balance due dates always fall before theirs.

Saved.
