Yes, most B2B travel portals let you give each sub agent their own markup or commission level instead of applying one rule to everybody. The usual way it works is that your net rates come into the portal from your suppliers, and you then decide what gets added on top for each agent or agent group. You can keep your high volume agents on a thinner margin and your occasional bookers on a wider one, and the agent only ever sees the final selling rate you have set for them, never your own net cost.

How finely you can slice this depends on your plan and on how the portal is set up. Many setups let you build rules by agent group, by product type such as flights or hotels, by supplier and by destination, and to override a single agent where you have a special arrangement. Simpler setups allow only one level per group. It is worth asking which of these you get before you start signing up agents in volume, because reorganising everybody into new groups later is more work than getting the structure right at the start.

Some limits come from the supplier rather than from the portal. Certain airline and hotel feeds return rates you are not free to mark up as you wish, and some return commissionable fares where the commission is fixed at the supplier's end. In those cases the portal can display and sell the rate but cannot create margin the contract does not allow, so your own directly negotiated contracts will usually give you more freedom than a public API feed.

Before you launch, list the agents you already work with, group them by how much business they bring and what they sell, and ask us to confirm your portal can hold that structure and show each group the correct selling rate.
