Yes, in most cases AI can pull the details out of a rate sheet so your staff are not typing every line by hand. The way it usually works is that you upload the file the hotel sent you, the system reads it and picks out the hotel name, the room types, the season dates, the rates and the meal plan, and then shows all of that on a screen where you check it before it goes live. Nobody has to retype the grid, but somebody does still have to look at it.

How well it works depends a lot on the file itself. A clean spreadsheet, or a normal rate sheet in a document, comes through well. A scanned copy, a photo taken on a phone, or a sheet with notes written in the margins is much harder, and the result will have gaps you need to fill in yourself. Files with several hotels in one sheet, or odd layouts where a column means one thing in some rows and something else in others, usually need a person to sort out.

The parts written in plain words rather than in a grid are the ones to watch. Cancellation rules, child policies, blackout dates and minimum stay conditions are normally described in sentences, and AI can read those loosely or miss the meaning, so they should always be checked by someone who knows what was agreed with the hotel. Whether this reading feature is included also depends on the plan you are on, so it is worth asking before you count on it.

Pick three or four of the rate sheets you receive most often and ask for them to be run through as a test, because that will tell you quickly how much typing this will really save you.

Saved.
