Yes, a travel CRM keeps one record for each customer, and your staff can open it and see the trips that person has booked with you, the quotes you sent, the enquiries they made and any notes your team added after a phone call. The idea is that whoever picks up the phone can talk to the customer properly, even if a different member of staff handled the last trip.

How complete that record is depends on how the information reaches the system. Bookings and enquiries that come through your own website are attached to the customer automatically, usually matched on the email address or mobile number they used. Anything that happens away from the website, such as a walk in enquiry or a call, only appears if your staff log it, so a short note after each conversation makes a real difference. Email and messaging conversations can also be pulled into the same record, but that depends on those channels being connected and on what your plan includes.

There are honest limits. Bookings you made before you started using the system will not be there unless your old records are imported, and the quality of an import depends on what you can export from wherever that history sits now. If a customer books under one email and then enquires under another, the system may treat them as two people until someone merges them. You can also decide, by staff role, who is allowed to see a full customer history and who only sees their own files.

Before you start, decide which details your team genuinely needs on screen during a call, and agree a simple habit for logging phone conversations so the record stays worth reading.

Saved.
