Yes, in most cases you can see your sales broken down by supplier, as long as the bookings were made through your own system. A report can show how many bookings came from each supplier, what those bookings were worth, how many were cancelled, and the markup you added, so you can compare one supplier against another instead of going on a feeling.

It helps to know what such a report can and cannot tell you. Your system knows what you sold and what you charged, so sales, cancellations and your own markup are solid. The commission a supplier pays you later is confirmed on their own statement, so if you want true profit by supplier, someone still has to match those statements to the report. Anything booked directly outside the system will not show up unless you enter it.

Some of the most useful signs are not money at all. You can often see how often a supplier returned results for the searches your customers ran, and how many of those searches became bookings. A supplier that looks cheap but rarely comes back with availability, or whose bookings get cancelled and amended often, can cost you more in staff time than the rates save you.

How far you can break this down depends on your plan and on what each supplier's system sends back to you, so ask us which supplier details your setup records today, and check one month of reports against one supplier statement before you decide to drop any connection.
