Can the system chase my customers for the balance payment on a holiday booking instead of my staff calling them?
Yes, it can. When you take a deposit and leave a balance for later, you can record a payment schedule against the booking, and the system will send the customer a reminder as each due date comes close, with a link they can use to pay. Your staff do not have to keep a diary of who still owes what.
In practice you set the rule once, for example a deposit at the time of booking and the balance due a set number of days before departure, and the system applies it to every booking of that type. Reminders go out on their own, they stop as soon as the money arrives, and the booking record updates so anyone in your office can see what has been paid and what is still open. You also get a simple list of bookings where the balance is overdue, so your team only picks up the phone for the ones that really need a human call.
There are honest limits. Sending a payment link needs a payment gateway on your account that supports it, and reminders by WhatsApp need an approved business sender and approved message wording, which is in the hands of the messaging provider, not us. Your supplier also has its own deadline for when the ticket or the hotel must be paid, and that deadline is not always visible to your system, so you should set your own due dates comfortably earlier than the supplier's.
Before you switch this on, decide your deposit and balance rules for each kind of trip and check that your payment gateway can issue links, then test the whole sequence on one real booking.
