Yes, in most cases you can reopen a trip plan you have already sent, change the parts the customer is unhappy with and share the updated version with them, instead of building a fresh quote from the beginning. This is one of the main reasons to use an itinerary builder rather than putting plans together in a document by hand, because the customer is usually asking for one small change, like a different hotel on two nights or a later flight, and the rest of the plan stays exactly as it was.

In practice your customer usually views the plan through a link you send them, so when you make the change they see the new version at the same link without you having to send a new attachment. Many setups also keep the earlier version, so if the customer later says they preferred the first plan you can go back and see what it looked like. Some setups let the customer leave a comment against a particular day, which saves your staff going back and forth over email trying to work out which part needs changing.

There are limits worth knowing about. Live supplier rates do not stay fixed while the customer thinks it over, so when you swap a hotel or a flight the system has to go back to the supplier and the new price may not match what was quoted before. A room that was available last week may be gone. Anything you typed in yourself, such as a local guide or a transfer you arranged directly, stays as you entered it until you change it. Whether the customer can request a change themselves or has to ask your staff depends on how your plan and settings are set up.

It is worth asking us how revisions and version history work on your setup, and whether live rates are checked again each time a plan is updated.
