Yes, in most cases the sales and payment entries can be passed into your accounting software so your accountant is not retyping work that already exists, but how smoothly it happens depends on which accounting package you use and what your plan includes.

There are normally two ways this is done. If your accounting package allows outside systems to connect to it, bookings, supplier costs, your markup, taxes and receipts can be pushed across as they happen, so your books stay close to live. If it does not allow that, or if it is an older desktop package sitting in your office, the usual answer is a file your accountant imports on a schedule that suits them, perhaps daily or at the end of the month. That is less elegant but it still removes the typing, and for many small travel businesses it is enough.

The part people underestimate is the setup. Someone has to decide which ledger each kind of entry belongs to, how supplier payables are treated, how refunds and cancellation charges are recorded, and how tax is applied in your country. That is a one time job done with your accountant, not something a travel system can guess for you, and tax treatment in particular has to be confirmed by them rather than by us.

Before you plan this, ask your accountant which package and version they work in, whether it accepts connections from other software, and how they would like the entries grouped. Share that with us and we can tell you honestly whether a direct link or a regular export file is the sensible route for you.
